Last, but not least, a Leisurely Ride at Sunset!

I really need a daylight pic of these....

The last collab with Alison! I still can't say how happy I am with the fabrics she chose to match my yarn! This bicycle fabric matches this yarn PERFECTLY!!! The hot pink, gold, and silver in the yarn are perfect matches to the colors on the bicycles! It is amazing!

The capris were knit using Blue-Faced Leicester wool from Wooly Wonders by Nada! It was FABULOUS, as always, to knit with! I added a flare/ruffle to the cuff! I think they turned out pretty cute!

Lion Cub

Another collab with Alison.... A sweet little Lion embroided t-shirt with size small shorties. I knit these shorties using super soft Stallion Organic Merino wool from Dashing Dach's. The yarn is called Lion Cub. They are so sweet, soft, and squishy! I have another colorway in this yarn that I am anxiously waiting to use for longies for Jackie for the fall!!! It is YUMMY!!! Kind of like butter!!!

Flamingo Paisley... I feel funny posting a pic of the set, but I'm going to anyway

A collaberation set with a shirt by Alison at AhMay Designs. Alison was generous enough, after I emailed to ask, to create 3 shirts for me for my Hyena Cart grand opening. I swatched some yarn, sent it to her, and she did her magic of matching fabric to yarn and sewing up some tops. I could not be more pleased or grateful!

This is the first of the 3 sets! The top is a BEATIFUL floral paisley. The bottoms are a pair of crocheted shorties made using some GORGEOUS Blue-Faced Leicester from Uberknits. The colorway was called Flamingo Jerky! I was originally going to knit the shorts, but after examing the yarn, I thought I'd give it a go on crochet... and I could not be more pleased! The colorway truly lent itself to crochet. Some colorways seem to "brick" or "lego" when croched, but this one did not... it just melded together beautifully!

I want to keep it all for Jackie! LOL! On the other hand, I hope it sells fast, so another little girl can be decked out in a wonderfully soft and girly set!

Hawaiin Memories

OK, OK, I know I need a better pic! But it just may not happen!

I knit these shorties up using Knit Picks wool. I started off with Hand-dyed Merino Memories Sock yarn in the Hawaii colorway, and added DK weight Merino Style. Rhubarb for the waist and cuffs and Tide Pool for the body. Double stranded the yarns blended together to make a super soft, super stretchy, yummy finished item. The colors are just so bright and perfect for summer. DH and I took a trip to Cabo in January, and I had the sock yarn with me to maybe use for a turtle I was thinking of making Jackie, but the project did not materialize in the sand and the sun... so the yarn came home. Shortly after the shorts were started... they really remind me of Cabo for some reason... Maybe they should be called "Cabo Memories" instead of "Hawaiin Memories!"

I knit them on 6's and the fabric is pretty dense. I think they'll make a bulletproof cover! Next time I try the method (which I have a couple more colorways in the works) I think I'll try it out on 7's, just to see the difference in the fabric weight. I love the fabric on 6's, but if I can get away with 7's and less stitches, why not??!!

I've been a busy girl!!!!!

OK, so I haven't posted in a week or 2, but I have been busy!!!! I'm going to post each of my finished objects individually, but here's what I've got:

A pair of Hawaiin Merino knit shorties, a pair of Flamingo BFL crocheted shorties, a pair of knit Organic Merino Lion Cub shorties, and a pair of knit YUMMY BFL Dusk shorties!

I have to get my little fingers busy to finish several crocheted customs! Water Ice LTK 3-ply farm yarn, Grass Roots Peace Fleece, Yummy Mateo Nirvana worsted from Zenstring (Sara's YYMH) shorties, and Max's Chickie Masla Peace Fleece Shorties. Also, I have a pair of BBR Secret Garden knit capris in the works for Ella that need finished.

So much yummy yarn to be worked up, and SO LITTLE time!

Berry Splash Shorties

I knit these shorties as a custom for a momma who wanted shorties that would fit under jammies. So, I added an extra wide crotch gusset, ribbing on the legs, and an extra wide ribbed waist band to keep jammies from creaping inside them during sleep time. I'm really hoping the momma LOVES them! The yarn is BFL from Uberknits in her Berry Splash colorway.

Sweetie's shorties, knit bottom up.

These shorties were knit bottom up. Inspired by shorties and longies we have from Renate at Nana's Woolies. They were knit for Jackie (although Ella has taken a liking to them) using BFL from Lizzie's Wonderland in her Sweeties colorway. I recently made a pair of crocheted shorties as a custom using the other ball of this yarn, and LOVED it! So, I'm kind of liking these too. Lizet's yarn is FANTASTIC!!!!

I'm definitely going to have to try to get another pic in better lighting at some point!

Blue Clouds Longies

Some more WONDERFULLY soft and silky BFL from WWBN! These are small longies for a Pin Momma who requested a couple of customs for her little bean due in September. She also was the recipient of the Buttercup Newborn longies. After picking both colors as Gender Neutral, she did find out she was having a little boy. I think both pair of longies will be perfect for her new little man!

Secret Garden Shorties

These were FANTASTIC to make. They're knit up using Aran Weight BFL from Wooly Wonders by Nada in their Secret Garden Colorway. The yarn was so silky soft! Just heavenly! And the colors just popped right off the yarn, so visually, it was SO pleasing to work with. I am REALLY REALLY hoping the momma these are going to LOVES them!

Another fun thing about these shorties, was using a Lucet to make the drawstring. Fun and pretty darn fast! Much better than i-cord, which I REFUSE to do, and a nice change from my usual crocheted drawstrings!

Now, on to finish some more items! A pair of WWBN BFL longies in Blue Clouds should be finished I'm hoping my Tuesday, a pair of shorties for Jackie sometime this week, an instock item this week, and will be starting another custom item... this one in Uberknits Berry Splkash BFL, and starting a couple of my other Hyena Cart opening items! YAY!!!!!!

Baltic Blue Peace Fleece Shorties

This yarn turned my finger and crochet hook blue, but I really like how it worked up! They're for a little guy, and I hope his momma loves them! The yarn would work weel for a GN color as well!

Lauren's Coral Peace Fleece Longies

OK, so I was SO NOT loving these when I started them... the Peace Fleece was feeling particularly stiff and scratchy, and I don't know... I was in a mood. But, by the time I finished them, as usual, I LOVED them! I really like how the WOTA Cherry Blossom trim ended up looking, and it will be softer against the skin! Although the longies as a whole, softened up SO NICELY when I washed them. I sure hope the momma they are going to likes them!
